Chris-Pine-Can't-Say-if-Lynda-Carter-Will-be-in-the-Wonder-Woman-Movie

Chris Pine doesn't even blink when I ask if he'd want Wonder Woman or Capt. Kirk to have his back in a fight. "Wonder Woman would win because she's radical," Pine says while promoting his new movie The Finest Hours with co-star Ben Foster. "And she looks better in a skirt."

New-Iphone-7-Concept-Gives-Apple's-Next-Flagship-A-Stunning-Redesign

Whether or not Apple launches a new phone this spring, we’re almost certainly going to have to wait until September before the true sequel to the iPhone 6s makes it to store shelves. For iPhone users who weren’t able or willing to upgrade to the most recent version of the phone, the wait can be excruciating. But in the meantime, at least we have concept art.

“SARAKI WAS NEVER FIT TO LEAD THE SENATE” – APGA

Deputy National Organising Secretary of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, Campbell Umeh-Nzekwe, says Bukola Saraki was never fit to be President of the Senate.

Umeh-Nzekwe, becomes the latest person to demand for the resignation of Bukola Saraki, as Senate President.

The APGA leader said: “Saraki was never fit to lead the Senate from day one. He was aware of this and that was why he even confessed that he went to hide in a car park so that he could sneak into the Senate and betray his party and emerge as Senate President.

“We thank God that there is a new sheriff in town. Saraki should step down and defend himself at the tribunal. He should stop embarrassing the Senate because the whole world is watching.

“The President of Guatemala, Otto Perez Molina, recently resigned just to answer allegations of corruption. Why must Nigeria’s be different?”

LAI MOHAMMED THREATENS TO SUE OLISA METUH

National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Lai Mohammed, may go after his counterpart, Olisa Metuh of the Peoples Democratic Party , in the court of law, for libeling him.

In a statement released on Sunday, Metuh, while carpeting the APC and President Buhari, had claimed that Lai Mohammed diverted funds meant for the fencing of an airport in Osun state.

In reaction, Lai Mohammed released his own statement, where he said Metuh is still suffering from the trauma of defeat, hence his wild accusations.

The APC mouthpiece said:

”The PDP is wondering why we are not responding to the wild accusations emanating from their fertile imagination. It is because we consider the accusations nothing but an irritant.

“Mr Metuh wrote that ‘this administration must come to terms with the fact that democracy requires accountability, adherence to the rule of law and constitutional order’. Very interesting, because if the PDP had known all that, it would still have remained in power at the centre.

“It is therefore clear that the PDP spokesman has been so traumatised by the defeat of his party that he sometimes imagines he is writing about the APC when indeed he is listing the failings of his fallen party, the PDP.”

Mohammed dared Metuh “to substantiate the claim in his Sunday statement about contracts allegedly awarded to the APC national spokesman or be ready to do so in court”.

“For the avoidance of any doubt, the APC spokesman has never been involved in any airport fencing contract in Osun or any deal involving fraudulent purchase or supply of ambulances anywhere in Nigeria.”

“Mr Metuh’s assault on the Buhari administration’s anti-corruption battle is a futile attempt at saving his own neck and that of his party. Unfortunately, it is too late in the day for them, going by the quantum of allegations against them.”

HOW CAN I GO INTO HIDING… FOR WHAT? – BUKOLA SARAKI

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, says he cannot go into hiding, as a result of the corruption charges he is facing at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

Saraki had refused to show up at the Tribunal on Friday, and consequently, Justice Danladi Umar, had instructed the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, to arrest Mr. Saraki and produce him on Monday.

However, the Senate President was reported to have travelled to Kwara state on Sunday, and the development fueled theories of him going to hide from the law.

But his media aide to Senate President, Yusuph Olaniyonu, says his principal simply travelled to his home town in Ilorin, to douse frayed nerves over the recent developments.

He said: “How can he be hiding? He travelled to Ilorin to pray and calm frayed nerves and attend to some engagement.”

No. we are just arriving Abuja from Ilorin. Why will he leave Nigeria? For what? We are in Abuja. At least you know where he lives, you can come and have dinner with him.”

“He will return today (Sunday) to the Guest House to which he moved when a section of his house got burnt some weeks ago.

You know he moved to the Guest house before the issue of Code of Conduct arose and so it was not because of the issue he moved.”

“SARAKI SHOULDN’T WAIT TILL HE’S COMPLETELY EMBARRASSED” – AFENIFERE

National Publicity Secretary of the Afenifere Renewal Group, Kunle Famoriyo, has advised the embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki, to resign immediately, to save himself from further embarrassment.

According to Famoriyo, the resignation of Saraki, would be the most honourable outcome of the crisis.

He said:
“He (Saraki) shouldn’t wait till he is embarrassed completely. In the Western world and other civilized countries, once there is any doubt about one’s character, the next thing for one to do is resign.
It is not a matter of whether it is a politically instigated case or a witch-hunt. One would have to go and defend himself. He needs not get an injunction because that injunction is an abuse of the court process.
Every time there is a problem, people would run to court to get an injunction and that slows down the process.
“The fact that one asks for an injunction is already a sign of guilt. If one is not guilty, he should appear in court to defend himself.”

MAN REMOVES 74-YEAR-OLD FATHER’S HEART, AFTER STABBING HIM

34-year-old Nelson Oamen, reportedly stabbed his father, Ehiremen Oamen, to death during an altercation in their home.

The suspect also cut off his father’s heart and fled the scene on Friday, leaving blood trails behind him.

It all happened when the septuagenarian who is battling with stroke, confronted his son at 2am on the said day, about his truant living, job instability and drug addiction as well as violent clashes with residents within the neighborhood.

That was when Nelson, who was suspected to be high on drugs, allegedly stabbed his father to death in his bedroom, and covered his body with a blanket.

His body was discovered when Nelson’s younger sister reportedly came into the house a few minutes later, and found traces of blood in the family’s sitting room.

She was said to have discovered Ehiremen’s corpse on his bed, after which she raised the alarm.
Apparently, Nelso had a history of attacking his father.

According to his elder sister who came in from Ibadan upon hearing about the incident, “For about five years now, dad had been nursing a stroke, and he could not work again. So, he used to stay at home. Nelson did not have a stable location. He just came to the area on Friday.

“I was told that he came in through the window before committing the act. It was his younger sister, who has a shop in the area, and came in a few minutes later to change her clothes, who first observed bloodstains in the sitting room.

“She then traced the bloodstains to daddy’s room, and found out that he had been killed. We have not seen any sign of Nelson since then.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joe Offor, said the police were on the trail of Nelson and would soon get him.

Apparently, other footballers were affected by the thunderclaps, but it was only Muhammed that fell and hit his forehead against the ground.

People rushed to try and save him but to no avail.

The elder brother of the deceased, Alhaji Usman Jibo, spoke on behalf of the family, saying, “I have lost some relatives and close ones in the past, but the death of Mohammed is the most shocking one that will not depart from me. He was very close to me.”
