Chris-Pine-Can't-Say-if-Lynda-Carter-Will-be-in-the-Wonder-Woman-Movie

Chris Pine doesn't even blink when I ask if he'd want Wonder Woman or Capt. Kirk to have his back in a fight. "Wonder Woman would win because she's radical," Pine says while promoting his new movie The Finest Hours with co-star Ben Foster. "And she looks better in a skirt."

New-Iphone-7-Concept-Gives-Apple's-Next-Flagship-A-Stunning-Redesign

Whether or not Apple launches a new phone this spring, we’re almost certainly going to have to wait until September before the true sequel to the iPhone 6s makes it to store shelves. For iPhone users who weren’t able or willing to upgrade to the most recent version of the phone, the wait can be excruciating. But in the meantime, at least we have concept art.

According to the Project development manager of the music label, Mr. Michael Odiong, “as one of the leading music label pioneers, we are committed to making sure music lovers get the best. We had started with Dr. Victor Olaiya and 2face Idibia (now 2baba), this was in conjunction with Spinlet. Suffice to say that this classic changed the way the younger generation appreciated works from older veterans, this is another milestone that will be achieved and appreciated by all and sundry. We have carefully selected the song and artistes to feature on it. Banky W is one of the best singers we have in Nigeria and his versatility as a singer comes to bear in this masterpiece hit single”.

la-et-ms-taylor-swift-gets-even-kanye-west-emp-001

Taylor Swift won the Album of The Year at the 2016 Grammy Awards, one of 3 awards she won on the night. While receiving the award, she took time to respond, albeit subliminally, to Kanye West’s recent claim that he made her famous.

She said: “As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there: There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you are going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”

Swift also went home with the award for Best Pop Vocal Album, as well as the Best Video award for her Bad Blood collaboration with Kendrick Lamar.

Rihanna cancels Grammys performance

Rihanna, who had recently released her eight studio album, Anti, was already at the Staples Center and had rehearsed earlier, but pulled out at the last minute. The singer had reportedly been struggling with bronchitis, and doctors warned her of vocal chord damage if she went along to perform.

A doctor put her on 48-hour vocal rest because she “was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal cords,” according to a rep for Riri.

Also, earlier last week, German president Joachim Gauck and his wife Daniela Schadt paid an official visit to Freedom Park in Lagos where they met with Nigerian-German artist Ade Bantu, leader of the Bantu Crew.

His visit to the former colonial prison where the monthly Afropolitan Vibes concert series holds was seen by many as an endorsement of Ade Bantu and his band’s efforts at establishing a live music event of international standard and repute.

Their conversation centered around the achievements of Afropolitan Vibes since its inception 3 years ago and the cross-cultural works of Bantu. It was also a reunion of sorts for Bantu who had been invited with his band to perform in September 2016 at the annual Citizens Party of the President at his official residence in Berlin, Germany. They shared fond memories of the band’s visit to the German capital.

Speaking afterwards, Ade Bantu said he was thrilled that President Gauck had now officially joined the Afropolitan Vibes movement as he posed next to the president who proudly held up a copy of the Afropolitan Vibes magazine for a group shot.
