Jaimie Alexander and Peter Facinelli End Their Engagement

Nearly one year after getting engaged, Jaimie Alexander and Peter Facinelli are going their separate ways.

"Due to conflicting family and work commitments on opposite coasts, and after much consideration, Peter and Jaimie have chosen to part ways amicably and remain good friends," their reps tell PEOPLE exclusively.

The Supergirl actor, 42, and the Blindspot actress, 31, were first linked in November 2012 eight months after Facinelli split with wife Jennie Garth. The duo last stepped out publicly at the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards in January.

The FADER, a New York-based music magazine which documents a range of emerging music, style and culture featured Davido on the cover of their first ever global feature.

  

The magazine feature explored Davido’s journey to fame – right from his early university days in Oakwood University, Alabama to moving back to Nigeria to launch his music career while attending Babcock University.

Vogue US Names Wizkid The Best Dressed Nigerian Pop Star

Fashion and lifestyle magazine, Vogue has crowned Wizkid as “Nigeria’s Best-Dressed Pop Star” in its recent issue. The magazine got Wizkid to talk about his fashion influences where he names Pharrell, Lagos lifestyle, Nigerian fashion and so on.

 

He introduced Vogue to Nigerian tailors and cited the European influence on modern Nigerian fashion as well as his favourite foreign brands. Wizkid also revealed that he will be starting his own fashion line which will be made of “tracksuits, T-shirts, hats, and African attire as well.”

“I’ll have a special line for traditional [clothes] with my tailors”, he says casually.

“Talking fashion, music, anything—Africa is on top of all that” he decares.

Emma Watson Announces Break From Acting

Actress Emma Watson has announced a one-year break from acting and showbiz to focus on other things.

The Harry Potter star, who has featured in a number of big Hollywood movies in her 15-year career, will be focusing on philanthropy and her personal development during her break.

“I’m taking a year away from acting to focus on two things, really,” she said to Paper magazine. “My own personal development is one. My own personal task is to read a book a week, and also to read a book a month as part of my book club. I’m doing a huge amount of reading and study just on my own.”

“I almost thought about going and doing a year of gender studies, then I realized that I was learning so much by being on the ground and just speaking with people and doing my reading. That I was learning so much on my own. I actually wanted to keep on the path that I’m on. I’m reading a lot this year, and I want to do a lot of listening.”

She added: “I’m reading so much and exposing myself to so many new ideas. It almost feels like the chemistry and the structure of my brain is changing so rapidly sometimes. It feels as if sometimes I’m struggling to keep up with myself. It’s a really cool period of time for me. My work that I do for the UN is all very clearly outlined, but my personal views and opinions are still being defined, really. So it’ll be an interesting time.”

Caitlyn Jenner Set To Launch Make Up Line

She hasn’t been a woman for too long, but Caitlyn Jenner is already so much into make up that she plans to open her own line.

The patriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan has filed a trademark application to sell make-up, fragrance, nail polish and skincare under the name Caitlyn Jenner. According to TMZ, Jenner doesn’t have a plan set, but is very intrigued by make-up to know she one day will have her own line.

“I have never had a makeup artist. I always did my own makeup until I started shooting the show,” she said n a video on her WhoSay account.

“I have kept to it now because, you know, it’s television. You want to look good. It’s been a lot of fun for me to learn makeup and how it works.”

Chrystabel Goody suspended by Actors Guild of Nigeria

The Actors Guild of Nigeria has suspended actress Chrystabel Goody for biting another actress, Princess Chineke.

 

The two had been involved in a fight on set, which ended with Goody biting a chunk off Chineke’s thigh. And while Chineke has seen to Goody’s arrest and court charges, the Actors Guild has also deemed it fit to suspend her indefinitely.

“The National Presidet of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Chief Ibinabo Fiberesima has announced the indefinite suspension of Crystabel Goody for biting a fellow actress Princess Chineke on set,” a statement by the body’s P.R.O, Moji Oyetayo read.

 

“The President condemned the dastardly  act of inflicting such a dangerous bodily injury on her coleague.  She noted that all the Guilds and Associations in Nollywood have been duly notified of the suspension while the National and state task forces have been kept on alert to disengage her from all sets pending when the suspension would be lifted.”

 

“The Guild has set up a high powered committee headed by the National Chief Whip, Empress Eneh to investigate the immediate and remote  causes of the matter. Meanwhile Crystabel Goody shall remain on suspension until the outcome of the investigation as stipulated by the constitution of the Guild. The President frowned at the act of cannibalism and urged all members to make discipline their watchword because we are the mirror of the society.”

Anita Oyakhilome Finalizes Divorce From Chris Oyakhilome

According to Attwaters Jameson Hill, lawyers for Anita Oyakhilome, her divorce from husband Chris Oyakhilome is now complete.

 

In a statement through the firm, Anita severed all ties with Oyakhilome’s Christ Embassy, also dropping his surname for her maiden name of  Obhodaghe.

“We have been requested by Anita Oyakhilome to confirm that on 8th Februray 2016 a decree absolute was pronounced in the High Court of Justice Principal Registry of the Family Division dissolving her marriage to Christian Onehirokpeana Oyakhilome,” the statement read.

“Anita Oyakhilome would like to confirm that she is no longer involved in or part of Christ Embassy AKA Believers LoveWorld INC.”

Yemi Alade releases album art for ‘Mama Africa'

Singer Yemi Alade is set to release her sophomore album, Mama Africa: The Diary Of An African Woman. The album is set to be released next month, and the singer has released the album’s art work ahead of its release.

The collection is inspired by the artistic prowess of the colour black. The models used are both African, a dark skin (Kevwe) and an albino (Iyi). The idea behind the contrast of the models is to define the beauty of the black race and the distinct forms they may come in; and also show that however you were born does not hinder your opportunity to succeed.

Access Bank Offers To Help Kanye West

Kanye West’s financial struggles have become common knowledge after the rapper came forward to announce a $53 million debt.

 

The rapper had stated that he needed funding for his ideas, and had reached out to a number of tech billionaires, including Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Google founder Larry Page.

West’s fellow rapper, The Game has already offered to invest $10 million in his business, and now Nigerian bank, Access Bank seems to be ready to contribute as well.

While it is not sure if the tweet was sarcastic or truly genuine, the bank reached out to the Jesus Walks rapper, indicating their willingness to listen to his ideas.

After he revealed his financial troubles, rapper The Game has come to the aid of fellow rapper, Kanye West.

 

West had revealed that he was $53 million in debt, and had reached out to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Google co-founder Larry Page for donations.

The Game, who doesn’t have the financial clout of either of them, has however offered to invest $10,000,000 in Kanye’s ideas.

Posting via his Twitter account, the Compton rapper asked Kanye to come and join him in Dubai, even offering to pay for his flight.

The Inside Story On The P-Square Saga

From as far back as 2013, P-Square has been on the verge of breakup with tension rising and ebbing – the only thing that has been holding them back is the fact that they are family. Ironically, being family is also the reason why breakup has been imminent all this while within Square Records.

Two days ago, Peter, the clean shaven, dancing half of P-Square went on a Twitter rant alleging that his elder brother, Jude Okoye has been a thorn in the side of P-Square and that he (Peter) does not want Jude to be associated with P-Square anymore.

Inside sources close to the brothers have explained that of the two P-Square brothers, Peter is the outgoing, kinder one while Paul is the aloof, no-nonsense type. This is ironic because judging from their social media interaction, Peter seems to be the mean one and Paul the nice one.

Also, Jude and Paul are extremely close, so much that it seems Peter is always left out and ganged up upon by the other two. This much is evident in Peter’s marriage where Paul and Jude both opposed his choice of a wife.

As such, it was not surprising that after Peter’s Twitter rant where he said he wants Jude to stop managing P-Square. His  desire is that P-Square should be just Peter and Paul but Paul has decided to side with Jude, instead; writing “if you don’t do family business, then who am I to you?”

Paul even went as far as cropping Peter out of a photo of he, Peter and Jude which sparked an outcry from Peter.

“And cutting me off from a picture and replacing me with a studio says it all my bro. All because you want to sound matured and letting the people insult and laugh at me. Peter Okoye the social media rant. I wish you will in all you do my bro”, he wrote.
