Soldiers foil suicide attack at Maimalari barracks in Borno
A suspected female Boko Haram suicide bomber was today shot dead by
Nigerian soldiers after she attempted to forcefully enter into Maimalari
army barracks in Maiduguri, Borno state with an explosive concealed in
her handbag.
According to reports, a woman was making her way towards the entrance of
the barracks when she was asked to stop by soldiers for a thorough
search.

Former Minister of Education Olaiya Oni dies 72
A former minister of education Olaiya Oni has died at the age of 72. He
died today at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Owo, Ondo state after
an undisclosed ailment. Family sources say his body has been deposited
at the morgue while preparation for his burial is ongoing. May his soul
rest in peace Amen....
