KANO GOVERNOR TO BUHARI: NEGOTIATE WITH THE REAL BOKO HARAM

Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, is wary of the Federal government’s plan to negotiate with insurgent group, Boko Haram.

Ganduje, has advised the FG to be careful while embarking on talks with Boko Haram, to avoid dealing with the wrong people.

The governor said President Buhari needs to be extremely vigilant when dealing with the sect, owing to the fact that it has many factions.

Speaking to journalists after meeting with Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Ganduje implored security agencies to gather enough intelligence information to know who they are dealing with.

“I hope when we negotiate with them, we are negotiating with the correct people. Experience has shown that they have so many factions and if we are not lucky, we may be dealing with the wrong faction.

“Whatever it is, I believe the security agencies should have intelligence information to know what type of people we are dealing with.”

NORTHERN GROUP GIVES SARAKI 3-DAYS ULTIMATUM TO RESIGN

With a lot going on in the life of Senate President, Bukola Saraki in the last 24 hours, the last thing he’d want to deal with, are calls for his resignation.

The Northern Ethnic Nationalities Unity Congress, apparently lacking empathy, has called for Saraki’s resignation as Senate President.

The group said it is important for the reputation of Nigeria and the seat of Senate President- for Saraki to resign as soon as possible.

Addressing journalists on Friday, the National President and Convener of the group, Bako Benjamin, gave Saraki a three-day ultimatum to honorably resign to prevent the commencement of impeachment proceedings against him.

“Let the Senate President come to equity with clean hands. Let him defend himself against all the charges levelled against him in the spirit of the new wind of change blowing across the country,” Benjamin said.

“Seeking protection from the law courts is sending a strong signal that he (Saraki) has something to hide.”

Furthermore, the group stated its readiness to mobilize Nigerians to march to the National Assembly in protest, if Saraki refuses to resign from office within the time given.

FAYOSE ELEVATES IMPORTANCE OF STOMACH INFRASTRUCTURE WHILE TALKING BAILOUT FUND

Ayo Fayose, Ekiti state governor, has promised not to divert the bailout fund provided by the Federal Government, to help the state pay workers’ salary arrears.

Fayose, said just as it’s written in the bible, he would not deny workers their wages.

He also vouched that he will pay the salaries immediately the fund is released, rather than embark on “developmental projects at the detriment of the growth of workers’ stomach infrastructure.”

His words were communicated through the Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, quoting Fayose as speaking during a lecture commemorating Civil Service Week.

 “At the last meeting I held with all of you, you asked me to go ahead and get the bailout. I’ve gone ahead, I’ve signed. I am waiting for the money and as soon as the money comes, I will pay. I am not going to be among the governors that will divert the bailout. I want the stomach infrastructure inside you to grow,.”

MAID POURS HOT WATER ON EMPLOYER WHILE ASLEEP

17-year-old Esther Abiodun, has been arraigned before a court for allegedly pouring hot water on her employer, Alhaja Dupe Iba Agba, while she was asleep.

The minor had carefully planned the attack- boiling water, monitoring her boss’ whereabouts for the perfect time to make a move, and then chose to launch the attack when she had hit the sack.

Her employer sustained serious burns all over her body including the chest area, right and left hands.

Abiodun, who committed the crime barely a day after she was hired, was arrested and arraigned before the court on a two-count charge of felony, as well as unlawful pouring of hot water on her employer’s body resulting to serious body damage.

While the victim is battling for her life at the hospital, Abiodun, while being interrogated confessed to the crime saying she did it to punish her employer for scolding her.

NIGERIAN BILLIONAIRE, ANTONIO DEHINDE FERNANDEZ LAID TO REST (PHOTOS)

The late Nigerian billionaire, Antonio Dehinde Fernadez has been laid to rest.

He was buried on Friday in Brussels with his children, family members and friends present.

Publisher of Ovation, Dele Momodu and Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly, were in attendance.

Fernadez died in Belgium on September 1.
