Cindy Crawford May Have Just Announced Her Retirement From Modeling: "What Else Do I Need to Do?"

 

UPDATE: Cindy Crawford is speaking out and making it clear she's not 100 percent saying goodbye to modeling.

"Every year, I tell my kids I'm retiring. It's a running joke in our family. And yet every year, opportunities pop up that really excite me," she shared on Instagram Monday afternoon. "While it's true that I'm eager to shift my focus a bit to concentrate on my businesses, friends and family — I'm not making any final statements (not all headlines tell the whole story!). I have loved being part of the fashion industry for the past 30 years—and if that time has taught me anything, it's this: never say never. Cindy Crawford may be ready to say goodbye to modeling.

As the supermodel eagerly waits to turn 50 in February, Rande Gerber's leading lady is looking back at her career and suggesting to readers that retirement may be quickly approaching.

"I feel like I'm allowing that to have been great, and I'm celebrating it. And I'm sure I'll have my picture taken for 10 more years, but not as a model anymore. And that's OK," she said in the February issue of United Airlines' Rhapsody magazine. "I've done it. I've worked with all these incredible photographers. What else do I need to do?"

She continued, "I can't keep reinventing myself. I shouldn't have to keep proving myself. I don't want to."

 

For the past several months, Cindy has been hard at work supporting her book Becoming Cindy Crawford. In her latest interview, she admits the work was a way to bid farewell to her days as a model.

"Maybe not say goodbye," she explained, "but move on."

Today, Cindy is loving every moment with her children Kaia Gerber, 14, and Presley Gerber, 16. In fact, her daughter has already scored some impressive modeling gigs proving the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

 

"They are all taking pictures of themselves, or having their friends take pictures for their social media," Cindy explained. "Kaia would be modeling even if she weren't modeling. All the girls are modeling. They are not dependent only on how a photographer sees them. They have a direct relationship with their fans."

And looking back, Cindy doesn't regret her career. In fact, she claims that she was just following her passions.

"I was like, I love my job, but am I really that superficial that I just love getting my hair and makeup done and looking beautiful? And what I realized was that what I really love and am passionate about is communication," she shared with the publication. "And the way that I have been communicating for the past 30 years has been through pictures."

There's now another way to keep up with Rob Kardashian. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star surprised fans Monday evening when he decided to join the popular app Snapchat.

Blac Chyna's new boyfriend appeared in a short video that featured a close-up shot of his face. After delivering a quick chuckle, the reality star spoke a few inaudible words before the time limit was up.

The decision to join Snapchat comes after the 28-year-old was spotted driving around Beverly Hills with his leading lady Monday morning. In fact, his Snap featured his growing beard and a baseball cap that were seen in pictures obtained by E! News earlier in the day.

 

While Rob has been making plenty of headlines in recent days, sister Kim Kardashian decided to also step out Monday for an appointment.

As she walked into a Beverly Hills office, the businesswoman went au naturale while wearing black heels, leggings and a warm coat. She completed her look with a signature Yeezus baseball cap in honor of hubby Kanye West.

For those wondering what Kim feels about Rob's new relationship, a source recently shared that she's not too crazy about it. In fact, many of her sisters are upset about the romance brewing right before our eyes.

 

"The sisters are livid about their relationship and not  supportive of it at all," a source shared with E! News. Another insider added, "All the sisters are united and think Rob is being disloyal. They want him to be happy, but they're just so over the whole thing."

And if you needed anymore clarification, our insider assured us that Kim is at a point where "she doesn't even care."

Celine Dion Set to Honor Late Husband René Angélil With Celebration of Life Service in Las Vegas

 

Céline Dion is ready to return to the Las Vegas stage for a very special reason.

E! News has learned the singer will appear at The Colosseum inside Las Vegas' Caesars Palace Wednesday evening for a celebration of life service honoring husband René Angélil.

While details remain tight-lip, we can confirm Celine has no plans to talk or perform during the ceremony. Instead, guests will honor the proud husband and father who died on Jan. 14 after battling cancer.

"My family and I are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from so many people who have touched our lives during these past few days," read a letter posted on Celine's website after his death. "We have felt your love for René, and your prayers and compassion have helped us during this most difficult time... more than you'll ever know. I thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Celine and her children honored René on Jan. 22 with a funeral where the couple's son René-Charles delivered a touching speech to attendees.

"Fifteen years is not a long time for a son to get to know his father," he told the crowd. "You left me now with enough good memories of you to share with my younger brothers. As they grow older without you being around, I'll make sure to pass on what I've learned from you."

He added, "You are a tough act to follow but with our help everything is going to be fine. Dad, I promise you here that we're all going to live up to your standards."

He’s typically a pretty private person, but Nick Jonas opened up a bit in his cover story for the latest issue of Complex magazine.

The “Jealous” crooner got candid about his split with Olivia Culpo- “It was first excitement to have freedom to be whoever I wanted to be, be my own person. Then the feeling of being disheartened by what’s out there. Then getting into crazy artist mode and throwing it all out, the good, bad, and ugly. Then meeting people, making a real effort to open up and be free as a person. I’ve met some people that are amazing. And my current situation is that I’m very much single, but I’m trying to be as open to people who can inspire me in some way.”

However, Jonas declined to confirm or deny the rumor that he and Kate Hudson did the hibbity-dibbity- “Umm. You know, it’s interesting. You’re allowed to ask me whatever the f*ck you want and I’ll answer it, or not. Kate’s incredible. We had an unbelievable connection as two humans who just admire things about each other, and see something in each other that’s beautiful. Out of my best effort to respect her and her privacy, I’m not going to say if we had sex or not. But we did have a beautiful connection. Even now I have so much admiration and respect. She’s amazing.”

Nick even recalled his experience with drugs- “I had voices telling me I was going to die. It was like, ‘That’s it.’ I don’t like being out of control. I don’t like that feeling. I like being in the driver’s seat. Putting myself in the position where I feel like I would be out of control scares me.”
