IN KADUNA: DEPUTY GOVERNOR BAGS TRADITIONAL TITLE


Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Mr Barnabas Bala, was conferred with the traditional title of Moro’a Chiefdom in Kaura Local Government Area of the state.

Bala was conferred with the Jarman Moro'a by the Chief of Moro'a, Malam Tagwai Sambo, on Friday.
Conferring the title on the deputy governor at his palace in Manchok, Sambo said that the recipient was honoured with the title for his contribution to the development of the Moro’a community.

He urged him to continue in the same spirit to sustain the pace of development in the land, particularly now that he serves as deputy governor of the state.

Sambo urged him to uphold the virtues of truth and discipline in the discharge of his responsibilities as the son of the land and as the deputy governor of the state.

The royal father assured him of the community’s continued prayers for him to succeed and make a difference.

Responding, Bala, who hailed from the chiefdom and also a member of the ruling family, thanked the traditional council for the honour, confidence and trust bestowed upon him.

“I will, to the best of abilities, contribute my quota to the development of Moro’a Chiefdom, the state and the country.

“I assure the good people of Moro’ a land, my home, my people, that the confidence you have bestowed upon me will not be betrayed, ‘’ Bala said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Bala is a former Chairman of Kaura Local Government Area and a one-time member of the House of Representatives.
