Chris Pine doesn't even blink when I ask if he'd want Wonder Woman or Capt. Kirk to have his back in a fight. "Wonder Woman would win because she's radical," Pine says while promoting his new movie The Finest Hours with co-star Ben Foster. "And she looks better in a skirt."

New-Iphone-7-Concept-Gives-Apple's-Next-Flagship-A-Stunning-Redesign

Whether or not Apple launches a new phone this spring, we’re almost certainly going to have to wait until September before the true sequel to the iPhone 6s makes it to store shelves. For iPhone users who weren’t able or willing to upgrade to the most recent version of the phone, the wait can be excruciating. But in the meantime, at least we have concept art.

Photo unconnected to incident: Soccer Player Shoots Referee Dead Following Red Card In Argentina

A player shot and killed a referee and wounded another player minutes after the latter gave him his marching orders on Sunday, February 14, in the Campo de la Ribera area of Cordoboa, Argentina, according to The Mirror’s Rita Sobot.

The country’s Police said referee Cesar Flores, 48, showed the assailant a red card for making a heavy tackle on an opponent. The player then retrieved a gun from his bag and shot Flores three times- once in the head, neck and chest. The referee died thereafter.

He also wounded another player, 25-year-old Walter Zarate, before fleeing the scene.
“It all happened during the match,” a police spokesman said. “We don’t know what happened with the referee but the player was angry and went to get his gun and killed him.”
The shooting appears to have taken place during an amateur game that the Argentina’s Football Federation might not have organized. The killer is still on the loose and the subject of a police hunt.

An activist in Northeast Nigeria and also ardent supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, has rejected her appointment as chairperson of the Governing Council of the Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State.

Northern activist, Najatu Mohammed, rejects appointment from Buhari

Najatu Muhammed, conveyed her decision to reject the appointment in a letter to the Office of the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu. President Buhari recently approved the sack of 13 Vice Chancellors including 12 of them from 12 Universities that were established by former president Goodluck Jonathan.

This led to the appointment of Mrs Najatu Mohammed; an appointment she has vehemently rejected.

She went as far as posting a newspaper advert to that effect. In the letter entitled, “Reconstitution of the Governing Councils of 12 Federal Universities”, Mrs. Muhammed, who is also a politician from Kano State, said she was not consulted before the announcement was made in the media.

Above is Ms. Muhammed’s letter:
“I, Najatu Muhammad, wish to thank you so much for considering me worthy of being appointed the chairperson of Dutse Federal University.
It’s however, unfortunate that I was not consulted before the announcement in the media.
“I also regret that I have to use the same medium to announce that I can’t accept the appointment for some personal reasons.
“I will however remain an ardent supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari in his effort in charting a new course for this country. A course that we pray will put this country back on the path of progress.
“I will also continue to support the presidents fight against corruption and other ills of this country. My unflinching support for the President will remain for Allah’s sake and country.
“I pray that Allah will continue to guide and protect our President.
“Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

Two-Year Old Nigerian Boy Left For Dead On The Streets After Being Labelled A Witch

360nbs6

Hope is a two-year old boy who was discarded from his community after being labelled a witch. For the past eight months, he has been living on the streets, fending for himself, and surviving on whatever leftovers passer-bys and strangers throw at him.

On January 30, a Danish woman, Anja Ringgren Loven found Hope wandering the streets looking extremely emaciated and his body riddled with worms while he was going about his day scavenging for food, as usual. She took him under her care.

Loven was so horrified at the young boy’s story she bent down and began feeding little Hope, giving him water from her water bottle.

Ms Loven is the founder of African Children’s Aid Education and Development Foundation, which she created three years ago to help children that have been labelled as witches and therefore neglected and even killed by the members of their community.

Loven posted the photos on her Facebook, with the quote,
‘Thousands of children are being accused of being witches and we’ve both seen torture of children, dead children and frightened children,’. Loven also appealed for donations to help pay little Hope’s medical bills.

Ms Loven said Hope was given drugs that helped expel the worms from his stomach as well as daily blood transfusions to increase his red blood cells.

She wrote, ‘Hope’s condition is stable now. He’s taking food for himself, and he responds to the medicine he gets. Today, he has had powers to sit up and smiling at us. He’s a strong little boy,’.

Hope even plays with her own son David Jr.
