The Code of Conduct Tribunal headed by Justice Danladi Umar, had on Friday, issued an order for the arrest of Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Despite the fact that the Code of Conduct Tribunal gave the order, it cannot be enforceable without a directive given to the enforcers.
However, the enforcers in this case- the Nigerian Police Force, say they are yet to receive a bench warrant to effect Saraki’s arrest.
While responding to questions from Vanguard on whether the Police had received the bench warrant, the IGP, Arase said: “I am yet to see one.”
Similarly, a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, Adebisi Kolawole, also said: “The police are yet to receive the Code of Conduct Tribunal bench warrant.”
