SARAKI ATTACKED AT ILORIN PRAYER GROUND



The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, was attacked a few hours ago, at the eid kabir prayer ground in Ilorin, Kwara state.

Disgruntled protesters got irate and threw missiles and various objects at Saraki and other dignitaries in attendance.

Premium Times, however, reports that the protesters lost their cool because of their salary arrears being owed by the state government- which has made it impossible for civil servants to buy rams for Sallah.

A witness was quoted to have said: “Shortly after the senate president and other dignitaries arrived, some people started throwing stones and sachet waters in the direction of the Senate President and other important people.”

“They started chanting Ole Ole Ole (thief), “Pay us our salaries”, “Where is our bailout money” and “Don’t use bailout money to service Abuja politics.”
