Maina declared wanted by EFCC

Former Chairman of Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Maina has been away from Nigeria for almost two years, since a warrant was issued for his arrest, after he was alleged to have stolen billions of pension funds.

TheCable reports that the spokesperson of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed Maina’s wanted status.
“EFCC has declared Abdulrasheed Maina, former chairman of Pension Reform Task Team, wanted. It is in relation to the charge against Oronsaye that we have declared him wanted.”

“He has failed to appear in court, and we do not know where he is,” Uwujare was quoted to have said.
