The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is expected to
arraign former Benue state governor, Gabriel Suswam before a Federal
High Court in Abuja tomorrow November 4th over allegations bordering on
money laundering to the tune of 3 billion Naira while he served as
governor of the state. Suswam was invited and grilled by EFCC officials
on October 12th.
A statement by the spokesperson of the anti-graft agency, Wilson Uwujaren, alleges that Suswam and his former Finance Commissioner, Omodachi Okolobia, diverted proceeds of the sale of shares owned by the Benue State government and Benue Investment and Property Company Limited.
