Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, Economist and former presidential candidate, Prof. Pat Utomi, have been screened for ministerial appointments by the Department of State Service, Punch reports.
Others purported to be on the list are; Chief of Army, Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazu (retd.); an ex-chief executive of the Federal Inland Revenue, Ifueko Omoigui-Okaru; a former finance commissioner in Lagos State, Wale Edun; and a former National Legal Adviser to the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, Abubakar Malami (SAN).
Furthermore, the report says that the DSS had concluded the screening of the nominees as at last Friday.
Some of the nominees were said to have appeared before the DSS, while background checks were carried out on others.
President Muhammadu Buhari, only last week, reiterated his promise to release his ministerial list this month.
